Core Objective of the Proposal

As key hubs for Meta Earth’s ecosystem prosperity and global community growth, nodes play a critical role in deepening user engagement in the ecosystem, solidifying the network consensus mechanism, energizing the global community, and amplifying ecosystem synergy. Aligned with community consensus and market trends, we propose introducing an additional node-specific staking reward policy (complementary to the existing user staking reward system). Centered on the principle of "Reward Nodes to Build a Growth Flywheel; Boost Staking to Strengthen the Ecosystem," this policy aims to empower nodes to enhance user education and guidance on staking—thereby activating the vitality of the node ecosystem and driving dual growth in the number of real users and ecosystem stickiness for Meta Earth.

Background and Significance of the Proposal

Currently, the node ecosystem faces two core pain points, and the existing user staking reward mechanism has not fully unlocked its growth potential:

   • User Growth Pain Point: The slowdown in global user growth is not due to insufficient returns, but a lack of "actionable levers for scalable growth." Pure user staking rewards struggle to attract high-quality collaborative partners and fail to unleash the potential for community scaling.

   • User Retention Pain Point: "A substantial number of users remain disengaged in staking" and "low reinvestment rates following staking maturity." The key reasons lie in two aspects: users do not understand the significance of staking for network development, and they lack an emotional connection to the ecosystem. Most users view staking merely as a "short-term profit play" rather than developing a sense of belonging to the node ecosystem.

   • Network Stability Requirement: Amid the rapid growth of the community and the rising demand for MEC driven by ecosystem development, MEC’s value will see a sustained increase. Without an effective staking reward mechanism, the network’s stability and security will face severe challenges.

Built on Meta Earth’s existing ME ID verification system and staking reward mechanism, this policy upgrades the "staking reward mechanism" into a "node growth engine":

   • Transform every genuine staking transaction by users into a predictable, allocatable cash flow for nodes, thereby motivating nodes to execute more localized education and outreach efforts (e.g., offline meetups and staking workshops), supporting the global adoption of Meta Earth’s modular architecture.

   • Position each instance of user ecosystem engagement as a launchpad for nodes to bolster local branding and broaden collaboration networks. Nodes can redistribute rewards secondarily to reward all ME ID users actively involved in staking and ecosystem building—perpetually widening the collaboration web and deepening the affinity between local nodes and ME ID users.

   • This will encourage users to stake MEC for the long term, thereby improving the network’s security and stability and laying a solid foundation for the long-term prosperity of Meta Earth’s ecosystem. At the same time, it will create an ecological cycle where "rewards match contributions," attracting more holders to participate in building the consensus of the modular public chain. Stable and predictable rewards will stimulate the long-term vitality of the community.

Policy Duration

This policy is planned to run for twelve (12) months. The specific start date will be determined by the Meta Earth Association based on preparation progress.

Scope of Policy Application

Only staking activities conducted by users who have completed ME ID verification will be included in the calculation of node staking rewards; staking by users without ME ID verification will be excluded.

• User Earnings Unaffected: These node rewards are purely supplemental and will not offset any entitled staking returns of users.

Reward Policy Rules

(I) Flexible-Term Node Staking Rewards | First-Time Only

After the policy takes effect, 1% of the amount of a user’s first MEC flexible-term stake (capped at 1 MEC) will be awarded to the node the user belongs to.

   • Formula: Node Staking Reward (capped at 1 MEC per user) = Amount_of_First_MEC_Flexible-Term_Stake × 1%

   • Example: If a verified ME ID user’s eligible first flexible-term stake is 110 MEC, the calculation is 110 × 1% = 1.1 MEC. Since the node staking reward for flexible-term stakes is capped at 1 MEC per user, the node will receive 1 MEC as the node staking reward.

(II) Fixed-Term Node Staking Rewards | Available for Every Stake

After the policy takes effect, whenever a user selects a fixed-term staking option, an amount equal to 100% of the user's projected staking rewards will be additionally allocated to the user's affiliated node.

   • Formula: Node Staking Reward = Projected User Staking Earnings × 100% = Stake Amount × APR × Number_of_Term_Days ÷ 365 × 100%

   • Example: Under current conditions, if a verified ME ID user stakes 100 MEC once each for the 30-day, 60-day, 180-day, and 360-day fixed terms after the policy takes effect, the corresponding node staking rewards for these fixed-term stakes are as follows:

     ￮ 30-day term (current APR: 13.5%): 100 MEC × 0.135 ÷ 365 × 30 = 1.109589041 MEC

     ￮ 60-day term (current APR: 15%): 100 MEC × 0.15 ÷ 365 × 60 = 2.465753425 MEC

     ￮ 180-day term (current APR: 18%): 100 MEC × 0.18 ÷ 365 × 180 = 8.876712329 MEC

     ￮ 360-day term (current APR: 25%): 100 MEC × 0.25 ÷ 365 × 360 = 24.65753425 MEC

(III) Reservation Clause

The Meta Earth Association reserves the right to make temporary adjustments, suspensions, or terminations of this policy in the event of significant anomalies. All changes shall be subject to announcements on the official website.

Reward Calculation and Distribution

   • Calculation Time: Rewards will be calculated on the day after the user stakes.

   • Reward Distribution: Rewards will be funded by the corresponding regional node treasury.

We humbly urge the Association to convene a full-node vote for approval of this initiative. Together, let us transform Meta Earth's node network into "the most dynamic local growth engine in the global Web3 ecosystem," forging a more resilient and inclusive ecosystem that robustly advances the worldwide mission of Unconditional Basic Income (UBI). May every staking transaction serve as a testament to the joint growth of nodes and the ecosystem, and may countless individuals jointly embrace a digital future of "enhancing happiness for a better life"!

3.2 Eligible Voters:

Only registered regional nodes may vote

3.3 How to Vote

The proposal requires more than 50% support to pass.

4. Result Announcement

Meta Earth Association will publish the voting results on the official announcement center once voting ends.
