To further enhance the stability, security, and functional integrity of the ME Network, the ME DAO hereby initiates a governance proposal for the v2.0.12 upgrade.

This upgrade is designed to address several known issues, bolster network defense capabilities, and introduce key new features. As a significant network upgrade, this vote will utilize on-chain governance tools, with the decision to be made collectively by all ME Hub validator nodes (excluding the EXPERIENCE zone node). If the proposal is passed, the ME Network will automatically execute the upgrade procedure upon reaching a specified block height.

4. Upgrade Schedule

• If the proposal passes, the ME Network will automatically commence the upgrade process at the target block height.
• Target Block Height: 9,334,444
• Estimated Upgrade Date: October 22, 2025 (The exact time will be determined by the block production rate.)
• Estimated Downtime: ME network will suspend services during the upgrade. The process of restarting nodes and restoring full service is expected to take approximately 6 hours.

II. Core Upgrade Content (v2.0.12)

This upgrade includes multiple feature optimizations, security enhancements, and core module updates. Key highlights are as follows:

1. Feature Optimizations and Fixes

• NFT Module Fixes:

       * Resolved an issue with the nft-1317 API call to improve the stability of NFT-related applications.

       * Added missing standard fields such as name and description for four NFT classes to refine the metadata standards for NFT assets.

• Transaction Simulation Fix:

       * Fixed a bug where setting the Gas parameter to 0 during transaction simulation would cause a system error, enhancing the developer tooling experience.

2. Network Security and Stability Enhancements

• Minimum Gas Price Setting:

       * Set the network-wide minimum gas price to 0.0001 MEC to effectively prevent low-cost dust transaction attacks and ensure the efficient utilization of network resources.

• Block Gas Limit Setting:

       * Established a Block Gas Limit of 300 million per block. This measure is intended to prevent oversized blocks caused by single large or malicious transactions, thereby enhancing the network's resilience against potential attacks.

3. Core Module Upgrade

• Wasm Module Upgrade:

       * Upgraded the on-chain WebAssembly (Wasm) virtual machine module from v0.41.0 to v0.43.0. The new version includes performance optimizations and security patches, providing a more efficient and secure environment for smart contract execution.

III. Voting Rules

1. Voting Options:

• AGREE: To approve the on-chain upgrade to v2.0.12.
• REJECT: To reject this upgrade and maintain the current protocol version.

2. Vote Weighting:

• Each ME Hub validator node (excluding the EXPERIENCE zone node) has one vote.

3. Passing Threshold:

• The proposal requires more than 50% "AGREE" votes from all participating active validator nodes to pass.

IV. Node Operator Upgrade Guide

Important Notice: All node operators must complete the upgrade before the specified block height. Failure to do so will prevent synchronization with the ME Network v2.0.12.

1. Preparation

• Always back up your node data before proceeding, especially the ~/.mechain directory.
• Download and compile the latest code for version v2.0.12.

2. Upgrade Procedure

• Once the network reaches the target block height (9,334,444), the node will automatically stop.
• Restart your node using the new v2.0.12 binary.
• Check the node logs to confirm that block synchronization is proceeding normally.
