Announcement on the Governance Proposal Voting for the ME Network V2.0.14 Upgrade
2026-06-10 04:00:00

Dear Meta Earth nodes and community members,

To advance the ME Network upgrade and the decentralization of ecosystem governance, the ME DAO is officially initiating a vote on the ME Network V2.0.14 upgrade proposal. This vote will be jointly decided by all validator nodes of ME Hubs (excluding the Experience Zone), and the results will be made public via the on-chain governance tool. If the proposal is approved, the ME Network will automatically execute the upgrade process upon reaching the specified block height.

I. Basic Proposal and Voting Information

• Proposal Number: Major Event Proposal On-Chain ID: 4

• Proposal Topic: ME Network Upgrade to V2.0.14

• Voting Period: June 13, 2026, 00:00 -- June 14, 2026, 23:59:59 (UTC+0)

• Upgrade Schedule:

   º Upgrade Block Height: 13,444,700

   º Estimated Upgrade Maintenance Time: June 16, 2026, 00:00 (UTC+0) (The exact time depends on the block generation height)

   º Estimated Upgrade Maintenance Duration: During the upgrade, the network will suspend services. Node restarts and service recovery are expected to take approximately 8 hours.

• Participation Eligibility: Limited to all running zone validator nodes on the ME mainnet (excluding the Experience Zone).

II. Core Upgrade Content (V2.0.14)

The core content of this Meta Earth Network V2.0.14 upgrade is as follows:

Transaction Security Enhancement: Patched logical flaws in fee validation under specific scenarios, eliminating unexpected fee-free situations to ensure the security of the network's economic model;

Fund Validation Defense: Strengthened the rigor of pre-transaction fund checks to prevent the risk of illegal transaction pass-through caused by calculation deviations in multi-currency balances;

Consensus Stability Improvement: Optimized underlying calculation logic to eliminate potential Hash inconsistency issues caused by differences in execution environments, ensuring stable node consensus;

Runtime Risk Control: Comprehensively identified and fixed vulnerabilities such as Array out-of-bounds and null pointer references, significantly enhancing service reliability in high-concurrency scenarios;

Business Logic Compliance: Refined the validation mechanisms of the staking and asset management modules to ensure business operations strictly comply with protocol specifications, avoiding the risk of abnormal asset locking;

Interface and Data Governance: Cleared redundant interface parameters and fixed data serialization anomalies in special transaction scenarios, guaranteeing the integrity of on-chain data;

Code Quality and Standardization: Conducted in-depth code audits and refactoring, unified naming conventions, and enhanced parameter validation to improve system maintainability and security.

This update also includes optimizations and fixes for other functions to enhance system stability, security, and user experience.

III. Voting Rules

• Options:

   º Support (AGREE): Agree to execute the on-chain V2.0.14 upgrade.

   º Oppose (REJECT): Reject this upgrade and retain the current protocol version.

Weight Calculation: Each zone validator node of an ME Hub (excluding the Experience Zone) holds one vote.

Passing Criteria: Affirmative votes must account for more than 50% of the total number of running nodes participating in the vote.

IV. Node Upgrade Operation Guide

Important Note: All node operators must update their node programs to the V2.0.14 version before reaching block height 13,444,700 to ensure continued block synchronization after the upgrade.

• Upgrade Preparation:

   º Back up node data (e.g., the ~/.mechain directory).

   º Download and compile the latest code for version V2.0.14.

• Upgrade Process:

   º After the network reaches the specified block height (13,444,700), the node will automatically stop and run the upgrade program.

   º Restart the node using version V2.0.14.

   º Check the node logs to confirm that block synchronization is proceeding normally.

Thank you for your long-term support and contribution to the Meta Earth ecosystem!
